ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Attention Sophomores: CPR course will be on December 17. Students will report to the LGI. The training lasts for 1 block. Students please check the schedule posted on the office window.

Attention Seniors: All senior yearbook pages will be submitted before Christmas break. If you

would like to stop by and make sure your senior photo and bio are exactly what you want, you can. Yearbook class is block 3 in lab 212.  

National Honor Society meeting on Friday at 7:35 in Mr. Zarger’s room.

The yearbook is doing a page on who has the worst cracked cell phone; we are collecting stories of how it happened, pictures of the person, and the phone. See Mrs. Mumau if you would like to be on the page.

Seniors! We need pictures for the yearbooks senior now collage! Please if you have any recent group pictures of you and your fellow seniors, email them to Mrs. Mumau! We want to include as many seniors as possible in this! Thank you!

Attention 9th Graders: Please pay your class dues in the main office and pay your fundraiser money to the learning center.

The yearbook is accepting hunting pictures.

Attention Middle School Students: This year the Middle School Student Council will be hosting its first ever Snow Ball Semi-Formal on Saturday, December 15th from 7-9:30 PM. Tickets are $5 at the door. Please contact Ms. Ross or Ms. Reynolds with any questions. The dance is only for grades 6, 7, and 8.   

Any student interested in joining the Union City Ski-Snowboarding Club should see Mr. VanZandt or Mrs. Murphy for a permission slip. All forms and money are due before Christmas break.

Do you like building things?  Do you like precision and then destruction?  You need to join the RoboBOTS Group!  We are looking for hands on, forward thinking, self-motivated students to join this awesome team.  No Experience required!  Just a desire to learn, build, and compete!  Join Us Tuesdays after school in room 301.

Looking for something after school to do?  Like hanging out, meeting new people, and playing games?  Come join SPARKS.  We will start meeting on Wednesdays from 2:30 - 4 in the Chorus room.  See you there!

9th Graders:  If you forget your chrome book report to the learning center first thing in the morning.

 

Attention Students:  If you still want to order a yearbook, you have till December 22. You can put as little as $1 down to reserve your yearbook.  The cost is $60. If you want a name-stamp it will cost an extra $6.  If you want a plastic cover it will cost an extra $3. See Mrs. Mumau if interested.

 

FROM THE GUIDANCE OFFICE:

Seeking motivated students in 9th, 10th, and 11th grade with an interest in team building, business strategy, management, marketing, finance, and more.  Edinboro is having the Xavier and Tina Williams Summer Youth Business Academy June 9th through the 13th. Full scholarships are available. See the guidance office for more information. 

 

Don't forget to ask the Guidance Office to send a copy of your High School Transcripts to any college to which you have applied.  When you have been accepted to a school or branch of service, please let Ms. Reynolds know along with a copy of your acceptance letter. 

The Epilepsy Association of Western and Central PA will award nine scholarships to graduating high school seniors who have epilepsy/seizure disorder and are going on to post-secondary school. See the guidance office. 

 

The Patrick DiPaola Scholarship is available now in the guidance office for interested seniors with a 2.5 GPA or higher that play in at least one of the sanctioned PIAA sports. Application deadline is February 21st. 

 

AXA Achievement Scholarship is available now for seniors to apply at www.axa.com/achievers. Over $1.4 million is awarded. Only the first 10,000 applications will be accepted so apply early! Deadline is December 14th.
