A community school is designed to be the hub of the neighborhood, bringing resources and programs to the school to help students succeed.
At Union City, this means that there is now a Community School Director that will listen to what families, students, and faculty want to see happen at the school. Once you share your feedback, the Director and leadership team will get to work building partnerships and connecting resources to the school!
Community schools help address health, wellness and the social needs of its students, families and the surrounding neighborhood.
United Way employs a Community School Director, which is made possible through Corporate Partner support. Once the needs assessment is completed, the school will work with United Way to choose an organization in Erie County that can help meet a variety of those needs as a Lead Partner.
