pennwest class

Students at Union City High School have yet another opportunity for dual enrollment credit.  Union City High School is now partnering with Pennwest University to offer college classes.  These dual enrollment opportunities are unique in that Professors from Pennwest are coming to campus and instructing students in person.  The first class offering is Questions in Science and is being taught by Dr. Zach Holden.  The class will deal with controversial topics in science and include concepts in chemistry, physics, geology, meteorology, geography and mathematics. Students are also enrolling in Personal Productivity Software to reinforce technological literacy skills, which will be taught by Dr. Peter Kuvshinikov.  Both classes will be offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday throughout the fall semester at a reduced tuition rate of $225 per class.  We are excited to start this next chapter of offering rigorous learning opportunities for students at Union City and are looking forward to expanding our partnership with Pennwest University in the coming years.
