Second Grade Works With Asbury Woods for Some Hands on Learning!
Our second grade classrooms have partnered with Asbury Woods this year! Asbury Woods instructors visited our building to present “Weather Works.” During this presentation, students learned, explored, observed, and measured elements of weather. Students conducted hands-on nature explorations that focused on how temperature changes based on their local environment.
As part of the second grade’s partnership, our students also attended a field trip to Asbury Woods this January! Students explored the outdoors of Asbury Woods and followed up with a lesson on Habitat Essentials, which focused on food, space, water, and shelter. These experiences were made possible with funding from United Way!
