Picture retake day is here for the Elementary School! If your student was absent on our original picture day an order form will be sent home with them. If you would like your student to have a picture retaken please contact their teacher or the office to let us know. Pictures will be taken the morning of November 12th.
October brings both National Dental Hygiene Month and Halloween - the perfect reminder of how important preventive dental care is. Too much sugar and too little care can quickly lead to cavities, pain, and missed school days. The mobile dentist is coming to our school in January. Please sign up online at www.myschooldentist.com or contact the office for a paper form to fill out.

UCE Celebrates Attendance!
Congratulations to Mrs. Kula’s class and Miss Meszaros’ class, our September Attendance Matters contest winners!
Both classes earned the chance to choose a reward to celebrate their strong attendance. Miss Meszaros’ class chose to play basketball with Mr. Mondy, while Mrs. Kula’s class enjoyed an afternoon treat with Officer Rich, who made them blue raspberry slushies!
Way to go, Bears! Thank you to our students and families for making attendance a priority!

UCE and the Yearbook Club are excited to give our 3rd–5th grade students the opportunity to help design this year's yearbook!
Students are invited to create artwork for the front and back covers of the 2026–2027 UCE Yearbook! Students interested in entering the contest can pick up the official cover paper in the front office.

UCE took part in all of the Homecoming festivities this year! Our spirit week included Red/White/Blue Day, Hat Day, Crazy Sock Day, Jersey Day, and Green and White Day. We culminated the week with a very successful Homecoming Parade, where Union City Elementary took 1st Place in the school division with our America the Beautiful float. I really want to highlight how many people came together to put this idea into action. From helping to build the float, providing supplies and candy, volunteering to supervise our students, and driving the float through the parade, we are very fortunate to have faculty and staff who are willing to step up and be a part of something bigger than themselves.

Union City Elementary School is participating in the district's homecoming spirit week this year. Please see the attached flyer for the schedule. Please note, school picture day is Wednesday, September 16th.

Bears, please join us for our Back to School Open House, this Thursday, August 20th! Great Lakes Insurance will be here with FREE Smith's Hot Dogs for all Union City families! Please visit their food truck, located by the Elementary school's playground. Additionally, each building will host a resource fair in their respective cafeteria areas.
The Elementary School's Open House will run from 5:00 - 7:00pm, and the Middle /High School Open House will run from 6:00 - 8:00pm. We can't wait to kick off the school year and welcome you back!

Successful night at UCE! Our new K4 students along with their families joined us to see what school is all about. They enjoyed a bus ride, time in the classroom, and were able to see their new friends in their new class.
