Curriculum Maps & Review of Instructional Material
As of the Fall of 2025, all core content areas at UCASD have updated, standards-aligned materials and resources thanks to the gracious support of the UCASD School Board. During the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years, teachers began updating and revamping curriculum maps district-wide based on the updated resources and materials. Those updated maps will be published during the Spring 2026 semester.
Current curricular programs at UCASD include the following board-approved textbooks and platforms, which all students, parents/guardians can access through their child's Clever accounts:

Grades K-5 Mathematics: Reveal Math by McGraw Hill
Grades K-5 Social Studies: Into Social Studies by HMH
Grades K-5 Science: Mystery Science by Discovery Education and Into Science by HMH
Grades 6-8 ELA: Study Sync by McGraw Hill
Grades 6-8 Mathematics: Big Ideas Math by Larson
Grades 6-8 Social Studies: Social Studies by HMH
Grades 6-8 Science: Into Science by HMH
Grades 9-12 ELA: Into Literature by HMH
Grades 9-12 Mathematics: Concepts and Connections by Big Ideas Learning for Algebra I and Geometry, Precalculus by Larson, Calculus for AP by Larson, and Algebra 2 from Pearson
Grades 9-12 Social Studies: Social Studies by HMH
Grades 9-12 Science: Open Sci-Ed Biology by Kendall Hunt, CK-12 Chemistry, Inspire Physics by McGraw Hill, Fundamentals and Essentials texts from Pearson for Anatomy and Human Biology courses, Environmental Science for the AP Course from BFW for Environmental Science.
