Union City Area School District was proud to host an Erie Bank Reality Fair on Thursday, November 21! Over the course of the day, more than 150 students in Grades 10 and 12 experienced this live budget simulation, learning about retirement, credit, housing, transportation, insurance, and more! Mrs. Anne Conti and Mr. Daniel Keefer worked with Erie Bank and CNB Bank to organize the event, which included an orientation earlier this month during which the students learned what to expect at the Reality Fair, discussed their future plans, and selected careers for the simulation. Students then joined the team of more than 25 volunteers from the community last Thursday to rotate between each station over the course of 90 minutes, hearing from the experts in banking, insurance, retirements and investments, marketing, and beyond. At the conclusion, students reflected with the faculty, staff, and volunteers on their financial decisions and walked away with a much deeper understanding of life beyond UCHS! We were so grateful to host this event and look forward to providing this experience to our students annually with Erie Bank.
