On Friday December 5th, Erie Bird Observatory member Mrs. Mary Birdsong presented a lesson on the Federally Endangered Piping Plover to Mr. Colwell’s PA Wildlife Class.  Mrs. Birdsong is the lead shorebird monitor for the EBO.  Her lesson focused on her monitoring of the Piping Plover, its population recovery, and how different agencies interact to protect this critically endangered bird and its habitat at Presque Isle.
