Middle School students have had opportunities to participate in Activity Period and Monthly Assemblies throughout this school year. Students are able to sign up for activities that interest them. Options include sports like basketball, gaga ball, and soccer as well as relaxing activities like coloring, diamond art, and fly tying (fishing). Mr. Payer can be seen in the attached picture playing Challenge24 with some of the students who love to exercise their brains in mathematics.
Monthly assemblies take the opportunity to recognize students for their accomplishments throughout the year. Sports teams, band and chorus members, high academic achievers, students of the month, and other special award winners are all recognized. This time is also used to teach a mini lesson as students mature through middle school.
