Did you see the news?!
UCASD was graciously invited to collaborate with Dr. Matthew Platz at the Corry Higher Education Council on a DCED grant through the Manufacturing PA Training-to-Career Program… and it was awarded! This grant will allow the Corry Higher Ed Council and Gannon University to launch “Future Makers: An Additive and Advanced Manufacturing Summer Camp” in both 2026 and 2027.
Up to 40 Corry SD and UCASD students will get to participate in this program at Gannon University’s I-HACK building. Read the full article from The Erie Times News here.
We want to extend a tremendous thank you to Dr. Platz at Corry Higher-Ed for thinking of us and including UCASD students in the grant application! Mrs. Conti, Mr. Keefer, and Mrs. Dell will begin working on logistics with Dr. Platz this Spring in order to recruit students for the initial Summer 2026 launch!
