The first-grade team and our United Way Team connected with the Union City Main Street Art Center. Using United Way funds, they created their own pottery painting field trip at a resource in our own neighborhood! Students glazed vases which will go home with flowers as a Mother’s Day gift for someone special in their life.

Sending a HUGE shout-out to our Penn College of Technology Advanced Manufacturing Pre-Apprenticeship Program (AMP) students and Professor Peter Kuvshinikov from PennWest. Today, our students are embarking on their first of three hands-on lab experiences as part of the 60-hour program curriculum. This semester-long course is designed to give students entry level skills in manufacturing, ensures completion of an approved Pre-Apprenticeship Program through the Department of Labor and Industry, AND prepares students for their Certfied Manufacturing Associate (CMfgA) Certificate exam from the Society for Manufacturing Engineers (SME).

This is the second NWPA Cohort, and we're proud to partner with PCT to make this happen!
