We hope you join us for our next Title I Family Engagement Event this coming Tuesday, November 19 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at the Union City Area Elementary! This highly engaging MATH CARNIVAL will include prizes, games, popcorn, and math fun for the whole family. The grade-level with the most students in attendance will earn ice cream for lunch!

First Chapter Fridays
You cannot judge a book by its cover, but you can judge a book by its first chapter. Mrs. Murphy has continued with First Chapter Friday for her 6th grade classes again this year. Mrs. Amy Webber was a recent guest reader.
The Middle School has been working hard on their Math skills. Students compete against each other in fast paced highly engaging math games online. The students pictured here were the math champions of the last competition. Congratulations to Gracie Warner, Landon Moss, Dylan Kuberry, and Josiah Shout.
A Walk of Champions was held on October 31st for Ava Reagle and Josh Mitcham prior to their departure to the State Cross Country Meet in Hershey.
UCASD Elementary School has been busy planning the Veteran’s Day assembly on November 11th. We are excited to learn about veterans as well as thanking them for their service.
Report cards will be printed and sent home with the students hopefully on November 8th. A communication will be sent informing families of the exact day.

UCASD Middle School is all about making learning fun and exciting. Students are encouraged to improve their math fluency through the use of weekly tutorial time. Baseline data has already been gathered, and students will continue to be monitoring on their progress. There are fun games and activities to help students become more proficient as well. Programs like Blookit and Gimkit are utilized to engage in friendly competition with classmates. To motivate the students, the school is rewarding the top performers each week
Congratulations to the UCASD Marching Band on their 6th place finish at the LMBA Competition held at McDowell High School on September 14th!
Excuse our mess :) UCASD has begun the next phase in our elementary renovations. As you can see in the picture everything from the ceiling to the floors will be getting a make-over. This comes on the heels of many updates that have happened above the ceiling, in the walls, etc. Some of those include HVAC updates, lighting, windows, and much more!
UCASD celebrated Mrs. Pituch (United Way) from September 23rd-27th as it was Community School Director Appreciation Week!
