Last night the Lady Bears battled hard in the District 10 Semi-Finals, but ultimately fell short against Wilmington. However, in that loss we had more history made for the program. Ava Greer now holds the Union City Lady Bear record for points in a season. Ava has scored 354 points so far this year, breaking the previous record of 342 set by Jamie Beeman back in 1998.
Ava will have a chance to extend the record this Saturday when Union City plays Mercer in the 3rd/4th place game to determine seeding for the PIAA Tournament. The game is at Meadville High School, starting at 12:00 PM.
Tonight the Union City Lady Bears will travel to Meadville to compete in the District 10 Semi-Finals! They will look to take down the Wilmington Greyhounds to secure a spot in the District 10 Finals. Game tips off at 7:30 PM. If you would like to support the Bears, tickets can be purchased at https://events.hometownticketing.com/boxoffice/piaadistrict10/L2VtYmVkL2FsbA%3D%3D
